  These small studs are just under 1cm in diameter and feature a "Sheela na Gig" design from Kilpek UK.  Sheela na Gigs are figurative carvings of naked women displaying an exaggerated vulva. They are found on churches, castles and other buildings in Ireland and Britain, sometimes together with male figures.

 

  Most folks that I've met swear that they are fertility symbols and represent a Goddess figure in the act of Birth and Life giving.
