How to measure finger ring size

Determining a ring size is an initial step before ordering a ring.  Have at least 2 different jewellers measure your finger size if you are unable have the staff at Bellchambers do it for you.  Your fingers will be slightly larger in the summer than the winter, usually by a half a size.

Rings sizers wide and thin3mm and 5mm wide finger sizers (1).  A high-end jewellery store will have 5mm wide ring sizers.  The 5mm wide ring sizers are for determining sizes of wide rings rather than the standard 3mm sizers which are for rings less than 3mm.  Mandrel and ring sizers 5mm wide ring sizers on a ring mandrel (2).  Any quality jewellery store or goldsmith will size your finger at no charge and should let you know the inside diameter in mm if you are located outside of North America.   Be sure to measure the width in mm as well if you go this method.  

How to read a ring sizer Proper measurement of a ring on a mandrel (3).  If you already have a ring which fits and need to determine the proper size, be sure to measure the size from the number on the mandrel that is directly underneath the middle of the shank. sizing bar on a ring Sizing Bar on the back of a ring (4).  Bellchamber rings are made with a sizing bar.  A sizing bar is a plain space that is worn on the inside of the fist.  It is a space where the ring size may be adjusted at a later date.  Rings with continuous patterns can not be sized without a sizing bar.
