Ring Sizing is an initial step to complete before ordering or thinking about ordering a ring.
If you can't have one of the staff at Bellchambers size your finger have at least 2 different jewellers size your finger.
A high-end jewellery store will have 5mm wide ring sizers. Use these as most of our rings are over 5mm wide. The 5mm wide ring sizers are for determining sizes of wide rings rather than the standard 3mm sizers which are for rings less than 3mm.
Any quality Jewellery store or Goldsmith will size your finger at no charge and should let you know the inside diameter in mm if you are outside of North America. Be sure to measure the width in mm as well if you go this route. If you already have a ring that fits but what to determine the size be sure to measure the size from the number on the mandrel that is directly underneath the middle of the shank (fig3). The ring below is a size 10.
Bellchamber rings are made with a sizing bar (fig 4). A sizing bar is a plain space that is worn on the inside of the fist. It is a space where the ring can be adjusted at a later date. Rings with continuous patterns can not be sized without a sizing bar.
Keep in mind that your fingers will be slightly larger in the summer than the winter. Usually by a half a size.
